Show Committee Busy With 24th Plans Milford has put on some very creditable Pioneer day celebrations celebra-tions in the past and a good strong committee is at work to see that the 1935 observance of this important day in the history of all the west'is another that will be decidedly worthwhile. The local L. D. S. church organizations or-ganizations are sponsoring the celebration but all other organizations organi-zations are invited to join in helping help-ing to make the celebration a success and for everyone interested inter-ested to prepare a float or other teature for the parade. Every effort is being made to make the day one not easily forgotten. for-gotten. A realistic feature will be the depiction of pioneers entering the city from the west and their efforts to make peace with the red men. The following program has been tentatively arranged 9:30 a.m. Parade. 1:30 a.m. Program at L. D. S. chapel. 1:30 p.m. Children's races, including in-cluding foot races, three-legged races, wheelbarrow races, potato races, sack races and bicycle races. 3:00 p.m Softball games and don't miss them! 9:00 p.m. Dance in the L. D. S. recreation hall. Anyone interested in taking part in the parade will please communicate with D. N. Hickman, general chairman. Other members of the committee are: E. H. Bird, M. J. Christensen and A. E. Clark, representing the ward bishopric; Mrs. Anton Johnson, representing the Relief society; Mrs. W. O. Carlson, representing; 'the Primary Pri-mary organization; Charles E. Beard, representing the L. D. S. Sunday school; Parley B. Fisher, representing the M. I. A.; and Leonard Banks, representing the elders' quorum. . |
