Show ; TAH SEEKS rSUPER-lirWAY The designation of a 2700-mile super highway from New Orleans on the Gulf of Mexico northwest ind ud through Utah, and thence o Seattle and connecting with the lew Canadian and Alaskan hlgh-,vay, hlgh-,vay, Is now being sought In Wash-ngton, Wash-ngton, Idaho, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and Texas. The highway, the only one of its kind In the west not paralleled by rail lines, would enter Utah and follow highway high-way 160 through Monticello, Moab, Green River, Price and thenco to Springvllle on highway 50 and to Salt Lake on highway 89, passing on north through Ogden, Brlgham. Twin Falls, and north to the Canadian Cana-dian border. Stnte Road Chairman r., w T.nvitt recently made an nspection of southeastern Ulah'H portion of the suggested highway, and advocated the spending of SrjOO.OO r'.J an invitation to the southwestern and southeastern tourist markets. Utah representatives, representa-tives, Including a large delegation from Price and southeastern Utah, will meet at the Road Builders Convention In Gallup, N. M., Marc!'. 16, to further the project.
