Show MARCH OF DIMES GETS EARLY START The March of Dimes campaign, with Dick Foerster as chairman, fired its opening salvo with a benefit basketball game Thursday night played on the local High school court between the regular Milford High cage squad and a quintet of ballhandlers made up of Milford High alumni. On January 30, the usual Birth- j iay Ball will be presented, with idvance ticket sales in all Milford j tores. Lawrence Eldridge, Vance ,'isher and Al Kirk have been ap- i jointed to the dance committee. j The Boy Scouts and Senior Scouts will assist the various committees, com-mittees, and help in distribution of posters, literature, and dance tickets. The schools, under direction of principals Kenneth Farrer and Ira Fisher, will cooperate in collection of Birthday Dimes, with a scroll of honor listing the students who lead In "collection of the silver l coins. I A container, appropriately labeled, la-beled, will be placed in each downtown down-town store for the convenience of dime donors. Mrs. Fred McKay, secretary of the county committee, will sell Birthday Ball tickets at the depot. Other activities will, be announced an-nounced as they are arranged. |
