Spry as honored guest. At a short business session, President Mur-dock Mur-dock appointed a committee on j membership as follows: Al Cline, D. E. Kirk, William Outzen, M. H. Pool and M. P. Lewis, and also a committee on excursion who were George Jefferson, L. G. Clay, W. A. Miller, A. Frampton and K. S. Carlton. The local Relief Society ladies ! gave a social at the L. D. S. church which was thoroughly enjoyed en-joyed by the large number pre- ' sent. President Mrs. W. A. Mil- ler presided and those on the pro- I gram were Mrs. A. E. Nebeker, ; Mrs. N. C. Schow, Mrs. Maurice j Johnson, Miss Lduise Levi, Mrs. , Calvin Jensen, Mrs. La Mar Out- j zen, Mrs. Ralph Quayle, Mrs. Ross J Smith and Mrs. Dan Ferguson. Mrs. Erma Gillies, chief operator opera-tor of the telephone exchange in Milford, was taking her vacation and 'was to go with a party to see the southern Utah parks and the Grand canyon. Miss Louise Levi, Miss Vera McAllister, Miss Pearl Rogers, Tom Campbell, Marion Vincent and Wallace Morris had motored to Monroe Hot springs and spent a glorious time. Bert Nichols, Mrs. Jennie Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Smith had spent a pleasant day at Baker, Nevada, fishing. Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Lyman had been very happy over the arrival of a little daughter at their home Tuesday, July 13. Miss Ethel Stanley, Buslter Cates, Mrs. W. C. Cates and Harold Har-old Baxter of South Milford had spent a pleasant time at Puffer's take. Mrs. Joe Kinney had entertained entertain-ed her bridge club members and invited guests at Roosevelt Hlot Springs. The party left town at 12.30 o'clock and were served a chicken dinner at 1:30. This was followed by playing bridge, after which a jolly time was had swimming swim-ming in the plunge. Those present were Mrs. George Fernley, Mrs. Frank Farmer, Mrs. C. R. Parrish, Mrs. C. C. Sloan, Mrs. Harry Tay. lor, Mrs. Irma Gillies, Mrs. Myron Lewis and Mrs. Al Cline. The Past Noble Grands of the Victory Rebekah lodge had met at the home of Past Grand Sadie Litchfield and organized a Past Grands club. The officers ejected were Susan Glenn, president; Bertha Cottrell, vice-president; Mabel .Coleman, secretary, and Sadie Litchfield, treasurer. Vena Wilson anl Bertha Sherwood were chosen to draw up the by-laws. Other past grands present were Ida Crawford and Selma Carlson. V |
