Cavazos of San Antonio became the bride of Vernon Charles Beard of Milford. The Rev. Samuel Orr Capers officiated. Mrs. Raymond Gamel was matron mat-ron of honor, and Miss Mary Ruth Cavazos, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. The bridesmaids included Misses Lily Mathis, Bertha Ber-tha Ramon, Irma Lee Barbato ano Lupita Magnon, also of San An tonio. Harold Beard was best mai and Ted Maxwell and Roland C dova were ushers. Before the ceremony Lt. Mary A Stemerick, formerly stationed at Kelly Field, Texas, sang "Because1 and "Ave Maria." The bride was given in marriagt by her brother, Samuel Cavazos She wore a gown of duchess satii in a magnolia tone with fitted bodice, the neckline being encrust ed with tiny crystal beads. Satin-covered Satin-covered buttons fastened the bodice and the long, pointed sleeves. The skirt extended into a chapel-length train. Her fingertip veil of brida illusion was caught to a beadet coronet. She carred a bouquet calla lilies. After the ceremony, a recep1. was heTd in the Renaissance ro of the Menger hotel, after which the newlyweds left for a short wedding trip before returning tc Milford, where they will make their home. Present at the ceremony were Vernon C. Beard, Harold D. Beard, Mrs. Charles Beard and Mrs. Stanley Stan-ley Prothero of Paragonah, whi enjoyed a two-week motor trip to the Texas city, returning to Milford on March 13. |
