Show !L00KING , BACKWARD 1 ! Items of Interest from the Files i of The News of Fifteen Years j Ago This Week. The Alumni Association of the Milford High school presented a one-act comedy for the students Monday morning in the high school auditorium. The play, under the direction of Mrs. Delia Gray, was the "Cross-Koads "Cross-Koads Store," a lively comedy that gave the cast ample opportunity for displaying their talent as comedians. come-dians. Frank Carter and Hannora Hutchins carried the leading roles credibly. The cast also included Max Root, Harold Tomsik, Walter McCalley, Vic Carlson, Mrs. Olive Root, Berniee Kesler, Eva and Gladys Coleman, Mrs. Delia Gray and Keith Rollins. The acting of Max Root, ctusfe as an ancient negro, attracted considerable con-siderable .favorable comment, and the play as a whole was voted excellent ex-cellent by the student audience. t ; The Mesdames I. N. Noider, Hor-; Hor-; ace Carter, Glen McKnight and J 1 H. Gillins were guests at the South 1 Milford Social Hour Club Thursday Thurs-day night of last week. Mrs-. Rue Nielsen entertained the Home and Garden club Wednesday night in honor of Mrs. Effie S. r Barrowj, of the Utah Agricultural collpge. Mrs. Barrows gave an in- teiesting talk on flowers and the 1 beautifying of back yards. After the business meeting, refreshments re-freshments were served to M-s J R. Murdock, Mrs. George Fernley, Mrs. Will Carlsen, Mrs. Jack Williams, Wil-liams, Mrs. Milton Pool, and honor guest Mrs. Barrows. Mrs. Joseph Osborne spent the week-end at Paragonah with re tives. Mr. and Mrs. Mart Griffiths are busily engaged in improving and developing their recently - pur- chased ranch. |
