Show CHRISTIANSCIENCE j "Matter" is the subject of the! Christian Science Lesson-ISermlon I on Sunday, March 21, and included are these citations from the Bible: "Hear ye the word of the Lord, O house of Jacob, and all the families of the house of Israel: For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out of cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water" (Jer. 2: 3, 13). The following- correlative passages pas-sages are from the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy: "Material sense does not unfold the facts of existence; but spiritual spirit-ual sense lifts human consciousness conscious-ness into eternal Truth" (p. 95). Nothing we can say or believe regarding re-garding matter is immortal, for matter is temporal and is therefore there-fore a mortal phenomenon, a human hu-man Concept, sometimes beautiful, always erroneous", (p. 277). |
