Show i SECOND GRADE ' ! We have some new library j books. They are good to read. ! Most of us like them. Sylvia Voorhees. We have a new circus border. There are clowns. There are many animals. We have some soldiers. We have a calliope. There are some houses and trees. Richard Jefferson. We have a new ball. The boys and girls take turns playing with it. We like it very much. We play games with it. Delos Hollis. We have some new plants. They are pretty. We water them every night. Kent Myers. SECOND AND THIRD GRADES We have finished our plant booklets. We put designs on the covers. It was fun to make th booklets. Duveen. We made a seed chart. W found that there are many different differ-ent kinds of seeds. There are seeds that sail on the water. We have seeds that steal rides on logs and cats. Some seeds pay for rides. Farmers cultivate seeds. Ray. We planted soma beans in cotton. cot-ton. They began to grow in the cotton. Now the root has begun to show. Dick. THIRD GRADE ... We had a flower show last Fri day. We had some very pretty flowers. We served our mothers punch and cookies. We had many mothers. -Marie. We are studying about Indians. We have many Indian things in ou,r room. We have a very pretty Indian rug. It is hanging on the wall. One of the students brought ah Indian pin cushion. It is made of yucca cactus. 'Chris Nolan. FOURTH GRADE Our National Government In the state of Utah we elect two senators to go to Washington, D. C. Each state in the United States sends two senators to Washington. There are '48 states in the union, therefore there are 96 senators at Washington. The number of representatives are elected by population of each state. The senators and representatives go to Washington to mabe the laws for the United States. Doreen Moody. FIFTH GRADE The fifth grade has a football team. We have six men on the team. It is not as rough as the other, but it is a lot of fun to play. Most of the trays in the jgTade school like it. We think that ihe people in the high scool like it too. Rupert Ingram. We have some new library books in our room. We also received 20 new science books which we expect to use very soon for our study of bstronomy in social science. Dorothy Campeau. SIXTH GRADE Our Study We are studying about primitive primi-tive people. Primitive people are those' who were the first people on the earth. These people were on the earth before written history began. This is a fine study. We have divided up into five different groups and each group has something some-thing different to find out about these people. Alfred Horton. Mr. Miller, the fifth grade teacher, is teaching us boys six man football. We have been playing play-ing it all week. It is a lot different differ-ent from eleven man football. I think it is a lot of fun. Charles Smith. We are going to have a play oi "'Robin Hood" in our reading section. sec-tion. James Griffiths is Robin Hood. I am a king. Football j At school we are playing six 1 man football. There is a quarter ; back, two half-lbacks, two ends and ' one full-hack. We choose up sides, make our boundaries, then play. : It sure is fun.
