Show SOUTHJILFORD Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Cates re-i turned Sunday to their home in San Fernando, California after a couple of weeks visit here with relatives. They had visited in Oregon and Idaho enroute here. The garden contest is creating some keen competition and some very fine gardens are the result, in spite of blight and drouth. Several automobile loads of citizens citi-zens Wednesday made the inspection inspec-tion tour which ended on the spacious spa-cious lawn of Mr. and Mrs. Walter WJeber. A sumptuous supper was followed by games, music and roasted marsihmallows over the fire. About 40 people participated. participat-ed. The prizes are to be awarded next month. Still clinging to a custom of many years, Mrs. Horace Cor-bridge Cor-bridge and Mrs. Eb Tanner held a joint birthday celebration at the home of the latter. Mr. and Mrs. Jake Tanner of Beaver were over for the occasion and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Tanner were down from Salt Lake City. About 20 persons enjoyed en-joyed the delicious lunch and games on the lawn. Many beautiful beauti-ful presents were received. |
