Show Rules Given For Season's Hunt of Antlerless Deer Xewell B. Cook, Utah state fish and game commissioner, has issued is-sued instructions for the filing of applications for special doe deer hunting permits. The instructions are simple but the information asked for is essential, according to Commissioner Cook. 1200 antlerless deer permits are to be issued on what will be known as the Beaver unit, which covers drainage . into Ten-Mile canyon, trie area between highway 89 and 91, described as follows: From the north of Junction, and the drainage drain-age into North creek, north of Beaver, on the north, to the Dog Valley-Fremont road on the south. The season , during which it will be sold for $1.50 each to both lerless deer shall run concurrent with the regular buck season, October 19 to 29, inclusive. Antlerless deer hunting permits shall be sold for $1.50 each to both resident and non-resident hunters, except that in the case of nonresidents non-residents such permits will be retained re-tained at checking stations on the areas for which they are granted to be released only upon presentation presenta-tion of a regular non-resident big game license by the claimant. When non-residents are not in possession of a regular non-resident big game license, these special antlerless deer permits may be sold to such non-residents for $20.00. Applications, for antlerless ant-lerless deer permits will be received re-ceived from September 20 at 9:00 a.m. to September 30, at 5.00 p.m. at the county courthouse in the (Continued on last page) M Doe Hunt Rules i (Continued from first page) , county in which such hunting district dis-trict is located, and such applications applica-tions must be accompanied with fee of $1.50, (no personal checks received) and must give name and complete 'address of applicant, also choice of hunting district, and unit within the district. Individual applications only will he considered consider-ed and may be made in person or in writing. If in writing, they shall be addressed to the fish and game department at the) county courthouse. On the districts where more applications ap-plications for antlerless deer permits per-mits are received than the number of such permits authorized, a public pub-lic drawing will be held at 9:00 a.m., Octo'ber 3, 1940, at the courthouse, court-house, and will be conducted by local wildlife federations and local newspapers. Each applicant will be given a number and a corresponding corres-ponding number will ibe placed in a receptacle from which the allot-ed allot-ed amount of numbers will be drawn and permits then issued for the corresponding numbers. Unsuccessful Un-successful applicants for permits will have their money returned. The name and address of the applicant must be given in all applications ap-plications for the special antlerless antler-less doer hunting permits, and the applicant, should be careful in giving his address, in order that he might be sure to get has permit per-mit or to receive a refund in case his application is not granted. Another important item for the prospective deer hunter to remember remem-ber is that it is necessary for him to designate not only the district in wihich he wishes to hunt, but also the unit in that district. In several of the districts there are a a number of units. The fish and game department suggests the following form, for applications.
