Show SOUTH MILFORD The annual Flower show, sponsored by the Social Hour club and to be held Thursday afternoon, August 24, announces the following displays: 1. Single flower; 2. Bouquets of one variety of flowers; 3. Mixed bouquets, including any varieties; 4. Most artistic ar-tistic bouquet, with container considered consid-ered as part of display; 5. Potted plants. Each club member is entitled to issue invitations to two gue.-ts for the afternoon, these guests to be ex- elusive of the exhibitors. In the evening eve-ning the club members will enterta.n their families with a musical pro gram and refreshment. Muci in-tc-rest in being manifested and it is hoped this flower show will be one of the most pleasant affairs of the season. sea-son. The c0n4mitt.ee in charge of the event includes Mrs. Arthur Williams, chairman, and Mesdames Reuben Jones, Addison Bybee, Parley Fisher, Williams Cates and James Rollins. Mr. and Mrs. I!. H. Gates of Los Angeles were guests at the W. C. Cates home early this week, having motored here by way of Oregon, Washington and northern Utah., Mr. Cates is distribution manager for the Southern California Edison company. Mrs. Addison Bybee and little daughters, Alice and Katherine, were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. V. I!. Ilobinson and the Misses Lucille Lu-cille and Kendall Kranke at Rocky Eord dam. " The second cutting of hay is being harvested rapidly this week and cutting cut-ting of grain has begun in a few of the- fields but a forecast of yields cannot be determined. The Community club will hold its social session next Saturday evening, August 5, at the club housn. The entertainment en-tertainment committee, under Mrs. Carl Elmer, always plans an attractive attrac-tive program. Underground Water Legislation will be discussed at this meeting. 0 |
