Show 1 School Motes I i . . I MILFORD HIGH SCHOOL Mask Club Plays The plays presented by the Mask ,club Friday night, December 15, were a huge success. The audience was very pleased with the entertainment, which was hilarious from beginning to end. The first play, ''"Wooing Under Difficulties," Dif-ficulties," certainly presented vast numbers of difficulties to poor Jack. You woujd have spilled water ai? over the rug too had you been "in his position. : Didn't Adele and Bob have a tragic-time tragic-time trying to find what Richard had given them- for. a wedding present'.'" But, can you imagine cooking -a' rba;t of meat in a parlor ?' And weren't Kathryn and Alden a scream. when Kathryn" was displaying her, knowledge of a farm? Imagine having Plymouth Rock and Rhode I.-Land I.-Land Red cows! . . '. Anyway, the plays were very goo.l. I know, because I saw Mr. Fishe! laughing until he nearly cried over the play "It Can't Be Done." Improvements The school is going to have scenet j and furniture that will make you open your eyes. Mr. Joe Rickerson is painting the scenery of which theic will be three or four 'different, sets The new living room wicker set that has just arrived consists of a lounc-and lounc-and two chairs, h is a tan and brown wicker with cushion's of contrasting colors. '- The shop boys have installed a complete -new set of stage footlighU that are much superior to the old ones. It will be necessary for the students stu-dents to sponsor many activities thi-winter thi-winter to pay fur these Improvement.-. So help us out by enjoying yourself at our plays and dances. .. . Christmas Decorations One can't help knowing" that Christmas Christ-mas will soon" be here. . The students up at the high school. especially know this. Christmas Parties' at Sfhool The .students all. have the spirit ol Christmas. Several parties have be'-n given and are being given at the high school this week to celebrate th.. Yuletide. Monday night, December IK, th" Home Kennomirs club gave a Christmas Christ-mas party for its members. Ganiev were played and prizes wre given to the highest and lowest players. Each member received a present from th--beautifully decorated tree. Wednesday night, the Sophomore i class under Mi'. Baker's supervision, gave a Christmas party at which j games and dancing were enjoyed. j The seventh grade class will holer a little social Friday and exchange! Sifts. Last but not least the entire stu- j dent body will entertain next Fridaj i afternoon. ' Why? First because we want to. help pay for the beautiful new- set oi ; stage furniture. Second, because it'sj near Christmas time and why noC celebrate ? j Each student will give a Christmas present of ten cents to the school. In this way we'll soon have the furni-j ture paid for besides having a good' time. . ! An Appeal to the Student Dear Readers: Have you noticed the cans with the signs asking the public to give a penny, nickel or dimt to the V. F. W. so that they can get candy and nuts for the Christmas oi some poor or needy family? The '"Vets" have repaired old toys foi the poor children for the past two years.
