Webster, former Scoutmaster of ! of the local Scouts and his very fine his assistant, has had tho leadership of the local troop and his very fine service was rewarded Friday night of last week when he was formally ele-j ele-j vated to tho position of Scoutmaster at a meeting of the troop committee. At the same time, D. E. Stapley, in charge of Vanguard activities for the M. I. A., and Ed Romick, son of Mrs. John Low and a fine young, man with past Scout experience, were appointed ap-pointed assistant Scoutmasters. Joseph . Rickerson, who has had considerable Scout leadership, going I back to a time when Scouting wag young, has been appointed as examiner ex-aminer and, counsellor of the local troop and will also have charge of .Cubbing activities, by which it is expected ex-pected boys of pre-Scout age may se-l.cui'e se-l.cui'e experience which will better hprepare them for .entering on Scout 'work. |
