Show SOUTH MILFORD Senator George Jefferson addressed address-ed a called meeting of the farm bureau at the Club house last Saturday Sat-urday evening on the pending legislation legis-lation regarding underground water control. Mr. Jefferson presented arguments both for and ' against placing underground streams under the state engineer's supervision. Messrs. S t e w a r t, Hutchins and Hyde, of the U. S. A. C and the C. C. C. desert range project, made a tour of inspection over the Flat last Friday Fri-day evening. They found one vegetable vege-table garden, among the many fine ones which they saw, which they said can be classed as the equal of any in the state. Mr. and Mrs. Vance Fisher chaperoned chap-eroned a small party of young people on a horseback trip to McCunes cabin la.-t Sunday. A larrje force of men is at work this week grading our short roads connecting us to the main highway. This will make our roads very fine for the coming winter. Tom Gunn of Beaver was transacting transact-ing business on the Flat on Tuesday. Commissioner Ralph Ellingsworth ond L. A. Wynaught were among the callers of last Sunday. The ,-econd crop of alfalfa hay is stacked and was found to be equal in tonnage to the heavy first crop. |
