Show I Auxiliary Medal Awarded Though the crowd in attendance could have been larger with benefit I alike to the people ami those taking part the annual Armistice day program pro-gram given Friday afternoon at the high school was a success in every way. The program was under the sponsorship spon-sorship of the Legion and the Legion Auxiliary and was a very good one, including as it did, selections by the high school kind, the girls' chorus and the boys glee club organisations. The outstanding feature of the program, however, was the series of speeches given by high school students in competition com-petition for the medal given by the Legion Auxiliary and this year awarded to Janet Rollins, one of the youngest of the five contestants. Her subject was "What Is An American ? ' and she acquitted herself in fine style though the work of all the contestants con-testants was meritorious. Renae Smith, with the subject, "Greater Anit'rica." was given honorable mention men-tion by the judges. |
