Show Girls Play Beaver j Players of Milford's two malej baseball teams, especially the big, fellows, might well get ideas from' the Milford misses composing the 4-H girls club team, who, in order to get in a proper amount of practice and not run the chance of being chased off the diamond at evening practice, have been showing up at the i park as early as 6 o'clock in the morning for the past two or three weeks and acting right cheerful ; about it too. ! That such a showing of ambition and energy is not without its recom-' recom-' penses is shown by the fact that the ! Milford girls more than held their : own w ith the Beaver girls in a game played at Minersville Wednesday afternoon in connection with the stake j reunion, which also served as a testi-i testi-i monial for the retiring stake presi-1 presi-1 dency. ' The final score of the game was 1-18 of that fact both teams and I their score-keepers are sure but the score-keepers on each side give the benefit of the score to their team so I the exact identity of the winning team is not known but will probably come nearer reaching a decision with the playing of two more games which . are being arranged one here and one at Beaver. Milford girts participating in the j Wednesday game were: Misses Lu-j Lu-j cille, Frazier, Marjorie Young, Peggy . Blackburn, Kathryn Kirk, Naomi ; Yither, Adele Kinney, Norma White, ' Madeliene Keough and Lois Williams |
