Show April 28th VICTORYJHEATRE A picture that took a year in the making and cost more than a half million dollars is "Sky Devils," which Howard Hughes, who made the famous fa-mous spectacle, "Hell's Angels," is offering as the first comedy of the air and is being shown at the Victory Theatre Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week. "Sky Devils" is a lightning-fast comedy', based on the thrilling and romantic adventures of three American aviators during the World War. The leading roles are played by Spencer Tracy, William Boyd, George Cooper and Ann Dvorak. Dvor-ak. On Saturday, for both matinee and evening, manager Hughes has secured, secur-ed, for the one day's showing, the universal picture featuring Tom Mix in "The Texas Bad Man." This is a spell-binding picture of dare-devil horsemanship, split-second action and rip-roaring romance, with Lucille Powers, Fred Kohler, Willard Robinson, Robin-son, and Joseph Gerard in supporting roles. All those who enjoy Will Rogers, be it his writing or his acting, will welcome the opportunity, Sunday, Monday or Tuesday of enjoying another an-other of the always popular Rogers features when "Too Busy To Work" will be the offering. Never was Will Rogers more humorous nor more human hu-man than in this screen adapation from the story "Jubilo," by Ben Ames Am-es Williams. With patches on his pants, holes in his shoes, an a song on his lips just a tramp unknown to his daughter, he saves her sweetheart sweet-heart and wanders on, happy in his service, chuckling at life. Marian Nixon plays the part of the daughter as only Miss Nixon can, while Dick Powell takes the part of the sweetheart. |
