' H v i 1 1 j$ v i ft & ? 1 ,v - it i is f A treat for Beaver County people is scheduled to take place in Beaver Tuesday, March 22, when The Bull Dog Band of the Pasadena Junior College, of 100-pieces will appear in Beaver under the auspices of t'-he.: Beaver Lions club. An invitation has been extended to people of Milford and the entire county to gather in Beaver that day and enjoy concerts to be rendered by this noted organization. organi-zation. These concerts, one in the afternoon, after-noon, which will be followed by a big-street big-street parade, and one at 7:30 in the evening-, will be free to the public. The Bull Dog Band, in its full array, ar-ray, has led the New Year's Rose Tournament parade for two years, and hag represented the visiting universities uni-versities for the Rose Bowl classic New Year's afternoon. Music over the radio from this game has come from the Bull Dog Band. The band has a membership of two hundred members ,and for the trip which culminates in Salt Lake City, the band is reduced to one hundred mien. This cutting of the size of the band still leaves it the I largest instrumental organization in Southern California. They have become be-come extremely ' popular for reason that its programs are very collegiate in style. It has been invited to per-for per-for in fifteen different cities in Southern California this spring, and has led nearly every large parade in Southern California the past year. Another feature of the day's entertainment en-tertainment will be a big dance at the Beaver Legion hall, with music furnished fur-nished by the fifteen-piece Bull Dog band. Tickets for the dance will be sold at regular prices. |
