Show George Jefferson attended a meeting meet-ing of the Associated Civic clubs of southern Utah held in Salt Lake Friday. Fri-day. The next meeting of the association assoc-iation will be held in St. George the later part of this month. Mr. and Mrs. Nels Schow left Wednesday Wed-nesday for Las Vegas, Nev., and Glendale, California, for a few days visit with their children. Mrs. Harvey Hedges left Monday for Cedar City to spend a few days with her mother, and assist in celebrating cele-brating the latter's birthday. A break in the water main on Mc-Keon Mc-Keon street yesterday caused the watermaster considerable trouble. The old six-inch wooden pipe had been in service 25 years and was pretty well rotted. Mrs. W. F. Gohlke arrived Sunday from California, and will spend a week or ten days with her sister, Mrs. L. A. Wynaught, in this city. Melvin Morrell, of Minersville, was in town Tuesday. He was on his way to Delta on business. Mrs. Ella Brandon who spent the ; winter months here at the home of ' her daughter, Mrs. Harry Livergood, left for a visit with another daughter at Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Langenbacker will leave Friday for Salt Lake City :h attend a dinner dance Saturday evening given by the U. P. Old Tim-I Tim-I er's Club. |
