Show OFFICERS HANDED BOOZE ON PLATTER When officers of the law are raiding raid-ing ,and have contraband liquor handed them on a platter, is a convenience con-venience seldom experienced, but that was the experience here last Friday night of Sheriff Jensen and Deputies Bohn and Kronholm. Three searches were made in Mil-ford Mil-ford and at the home of Pete Weid-ner, Weid-ner, Jr., five pints of liquor was found. To avoid detection, a small child was sent out the back way with the liquor on a tray, covered with cloths. While Officers Jensen and Kronholm rocked contentedly in the front part of the house, the child was i very ostentiously directed from the kitchen to take these dishes over to a neighbor's. As the child came out of the rear door, Deputy Bohn was encountered, en-countered, and he graciously accepted the service. Weidner was tried in the justice's court Saturday, pleaded guilty to a charge of possession, and paid a fine of fifty dollars. In case of a second offense, the court admonished him that it would not bo so lenient. |
