Show ROMANTIC WEDDING AT FRISCO RECALLS EARLY MINING DAYS Miss Laura Claire Morrison of Salt Lake City was married to Joseph X. Chapman of Morenci, Arizona yesterday yester-day morning at Frisco, the scene of v her mother's wedding fifty years ago. The simple ring ceremony read by Reverend H. D. Shepherd of Milford took place in the home of Mr. and Mrs. K. G. Link in a bower of ivy and native yucca that harmonized with the bride's traveling costume of green and with her cream hat and accessories. Only the father of the bride, Lorin X. Morrison, president of the Tintic Lead mining company, Mr. and Mrs. Link and the Reverend and Mrs. Shepherd were present at the quiet wedding that is perhaps one of the most romantic that has occurred in mining circles during the past year. Following the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Chapman left by motor for Glacier Glac-ier Park, Montana. After the first of July they will be at home at Morenci, Mor-enci, Arizona. The only daughter of one of Utah's leading mining men, Mrs. Chapman made a happy choice in the historic mining town of Frisco as the place of her wedding. Thd history of Frisco and of her family are closely united. Her parents were married there. There her father was largely responsible respon-sible for the development of the Horn Silver Mine and the Tintic Lead mining min-ing company of which he is now president. presi-dent. There she spent her early childhood child-hood and knew Frisco in its boom days. It is fitting that she should return there to be married where her parents were married in 1881. Mr. Link, at whose home the ceremony cere-mony took place is the superintendent of the Horn Silver. |
