Show DADDY'S EVEIIIMG FAIRYTALE Mar Graham Banner cofirvcfT or tYjTfxrfWXfA uff&r AN UNUSUAL CELEBRATION CELEBRA-TION The Star fairies wanted to have a bonfire. You see, for several days be- rorenana tney asked all the stars to be sure to be out on a certain night for they think it is a bon-; bon-; fire when every star is shining as i brightly as It pos-:' pos-:' sibly can. And the star fairies who arranged ar-ranged for this bonfire party or bonfire banquet as they called it, sent around the messages mes-sages to ask all the shooting stars to .come forth and tell Moon King. a11 the stars in the heavens to be on hand for the party. The shooting stars are such quick messengers that they can take around the invitations and directions more quickly than any other messengers. Then, of course, they understand how to talk to the stars. At this banquet there was two very, very famous guests, and proud indeed they were that they could have two such fine personages at their banquet. For, usually, they said, one fine guest was enough of an honor. W7ell; as I've said before, to have it a success and to make it a truly big bonfire every star came out on that night usually some are busy but all of them were free for the party this time. " Then the Milky Way helped along the bonfire, too, and when all the fires or lights are sparkling and burning very, very brightly, then their first noted guest of the banquet arrived. It was the moon King. Now, when the old man in the moon wears his robes of silver gray, and around his head a golden crown, he calls himself the moon King. It is only when he is going to a splendid banquet that he does that, as usually he enjoys being the old man in the moon much more. The moon King looked very bright and dazzling and handsome. He didn't grin as much as he usually does but looked very solemn and as he thought a King ough to look. Then the banquet began. They all sat at a long table along the Milky Way and the star fairies, dressed in silvery, star costumes, arrived just ahead of time. They looked so bright that real people peo-ple could never have looked at them at all. After the banquet ban-quet had lasted some time their other fine guest arrived ar-rived but their first noted guest left beforehand, for the two noted guests never had much to say to each other, a 1-though 1-though they were quite friendly. Away hurried the moon King, and in his place came Mr. Sun. "We're becoming VPPV slfipnv " ttip wmmm stars said, as they Mr gun one by one, quite quietly went away. And now the Star fairies changed their costumes to ones of gold and they looked like Dawn Fairies. Oh, It was a most unusual celebration, celebra-tion, and as you can imagine It was a very lovely, beautiful one. |
