Show SAYS NEVADA ROAD IS IN DANGER OF GOING TO PIECES ONE TRUCK SERVES 80-MILE STRETCH FROM HERE TO LINE That the patrol syst m of the state highway commission is not filling fill-ing its need on the highway from Beaver, through Milford, Frisco and Wahwa, to Nevada, is the belief of Douglas Ryan, of Wahwa. Mr. Ryan whs in Milford Wednesday, telling of the road's needs to good roada boosters and the Lions club. Mr. Ryan says that the highway will eventually go to pieces if more painstaking work is not rut upon it. Only the good natural roadbed and material has saved it thus far, he says. One truck, stationed at Milford, Mil-ford, i.i all that is alioted for work on the stretch, which from Milford to Garrison is 80 miles. Tliis truck and crew cannot take care of all the road, he says. Many inquiries are received about the road conditions from people afar, Mr. Ryan declares, and a good flow of traffic would come over this route if it were maintained in tip-top shape. The Lions club has a road committee com-mittee who try to keep a close check on local highway conditions. Mr. Ryan was succesful in pointing out the need of action to this committee, and a number of Milford men will lay the matter personally before the State Highway department later in the month, when several local men will be going to Midvale, just out of Salt Lake, to a Lions club convention. |
