Show f ADAMSVILLE Lyman 0. Littlefield was born in Henryville, Utah April 20, 1891 and was accidently drownd in the Payettee River lifty miles from Boise, Idaho. Littlefield was employed as a carpenter car-penter for the Walker Bros. Construction Construc-tion Co. On July 4th he and his fellow fel-low associates were enjoying themselves, themsel-ves, swimming. It seems that to swim across the river was the point to be gained by the best swimmers. Lyman swam the river once and while standing stand-ing on a rock he sliped striking his head on another rock; His body was seen no more until Wednesday morning morn-ing July 8th. ; A sixteen year old boy was the first to see the body come to the top of the water about four hundred yards down the stream Tuesday at 3 p. m. The boy's judgement was questoned by the many searchers until Wednesday Wednes-day morning when the body was caught in a net where the boy insisted he saw Littlefield's body. The body was then shipped to Salt Lake City in charge of John Littlefield, Little-field, his brother. Mr. Littlefield's family resided at Magna at the time of his death, but had lived in Adamsville for a number of years. Services were held at the Deseret Mortuary's establishment in Salt Lake City Saturday by request of the Magna Mag-na people.
