Show Sin Disease and Death Declared An Illusion The question, "Are Sin, Disease and Death Real," which was the subject of the Lesson-Sermon Sunday, Sun-day, in The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, and all its branches, is apt to startle mortal thought. But does not the second verse from the eighth chapter of Romans, which is a part of this Lesson-Sermon, Lesson-Sermon, imply the unreality of these errors. "The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death." The foregoing Scriptural reference refer-ence is corroborated by the following follow-ing passage from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, which also forms a part of this Lesson-Sermon (P. 286). "Sin, sickness, and death are comprised in human material belief, and belong not to the divine Mind. They are without a real origin or existence. They have neither Principle nor permanence, but belong, with all that is material ma-terial and temporal, to the nothingness nothing-ness of error, which simulates the creations of Truth." |
