Show SOCIETY Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Hendrickson and daughters, Misses Julia and Katherine were dinner guests Sunday evening of Mr. and Mrs. F. B. Robinson Robin-son at Rocky Ford Dam. C. H. Club J-Mrs. Marguerite Miller entertained -tTie' C. H. Club at her home Thursday evening, October 9th. The following members were present: Mary Peterson, Peter-son, Maggie Crawford, Lavern Davis, I Irma Geiger, Elizabeth Clay, Eva C Beard. The time was spent in needle work. At 10:10 lunch was served by the hostess, assisted by Mary Peterson. Peter-son. A handkerchcief, shower was given October 3rd one of our members, mem-bers, MJrs. Hatton, who left the 4th for Los Angeles to visit relatives. . o Past Grand Club Entertaines The Past Grands met at the home of Mrs". Geo. Litchfield October 8th. The evening wa&-spent - in. playing "Hearts," after which refreshments were served to the following: Ida Crawford, Mrs. Selma Carlson, Mrs. Morg. Griffiths, Mrs. Coleman, Mrs. Armstrong, Mrs. Pool, Mrs. Sherwood and Mrs. Glenn. The hostess was assisted as-sisted by Miss Kathrine and Irene Munford. Mrs. F. W. Galnouer entertained Tuesday afternoon at a birthday party in honor of her daughter Virgil-lia Virgil-lia who is ten years old. The following follow-ing children were present: Margaret Moore, Beverley Vincent, Ida, Dorothy Dor-othy and Betty Woods, Irene and Marcella Tomsick, Evelyn and Marion Gleason, Carol Smith , Betty Jean Hunter, Sara Louise Frazier, Hazel Tribole, Margaret Hanlon, Naomi Yither, Rosalie Smith, Evelyn Mills, Douglas Moore, Elwood Vincent, Owen Smith, Jimmie Jones, Don Elmer, El-mer, Dwain and Walker Back and Adelaid Copeland. Hallowe'en decorations de-corations were carried out and a large J birthday cake adorned with ten candles cand-les centered the table, Mrs. P. J. Adams came up from Riverside, Calif, to celebrate her little grandaughter Virginia's birthday anniversary. Elaborate Dinner for Talented Visitor Last Wednesday evening, Mrs. Helena Hel-ena McGarry entertained at dinner and bridge at the Milford hotel, honoring hon-oring Mrs. Karl Lueder, prominent California pianist. A Hallowe'en idea prevailed in the entire decorations. One long table with orange, black and gold cover, the centerpiece being the traditional huge pumpkin filled with exotic fruits, was exquisitely laid. The service faultless and the ensemble quite complete when the twelve handsomely hand-somely gowned women were seated, which including the hostess and her special guests were: Mrs. William llroylos, Mrs. J. R. Murdock, Jr., Mrs. M. P. Lewis, Mrs. S. Schow, Mrs. F. "" B. Robinson, Mrs. C. R. Parrish, Mrs. C. C. Sloan, Mrs Erma Gillies, Mrs. George Jefferson and Mrs. George Fernley. Dinner was fittingly concluded con-cluded with two piano numbers by Mrs. Lueder, "Melodie," by Rachmaninoff Rachman-inoff and Grieg's "Preludo" from his favorite suite, rendered with enchanting enchant-ing technique. Mrs. Lueder also accompanied ac-companied Mrs. McGarry, who sang, "One Fine Pay" from Madame Butterfly But-terfly with pleasing appeal to a cul- turcd audience.. The assemblage removed their festive fes-tive caps and were ushered to an upstairs up-stairs drawing room where bridge followed. fol-lowed. Prize for points won by Mrs. Murdock; for honors, Mrs. Schow; consolation, Mrs. Jefferson; guest prize, Mrs. Lueder who departed on Friday for New York City where she will study for a year. Birthday Party Mrs. Gene Pitchforth entertained Tuesday afternoon in honor of her daughter Kathrine's 9th birthday anniversary. an-niversary. Ten guests were present. The honored guest received many beautiful gifts. Games were played, after which a dainty luncheon was served. Mr. and Mrs. Bill White entertained entertain-ed at a bridge luncheon Monday night at their home on North Lewis St. Those present Mr. and Mrs. D. My Burns, Mrs. L. B.
