Show Bad Roads Have Fewest Automobile Accidents The most common excuses given for road accidents are bad roads, foggy weather, poor light and defective brakes. However, according to the statistical bureau of the National Automobile Au-tomobile club, these claims ore not borne out by official report. Out of 1.S27 accidents during one single month, 1.151 took place on perfectly dry roads; 1.2DS In clear weather, and 00S In broad daylight. Out of 2,773 vehicles Involved, In vestigators found that 2.G59 were In good condition mechanically and only 29 were found to have defective brakes. The chief reasons for the accidents ac-cidents were reported to be careless and reckless driving. |
