O. O. F. Hall last Saturday evening. About thirty-five couples enjoyed the evening, even-ing, with festivities continuing unt'l a late hour. The Milford Orchestra played for the dance. A supper was served at an intermission In the dance. An amusing feature of the evening was the initiation of two new members mem-bers of the club, La Mar Outzen and Willard . Nichols. Each was presented with a pair of hot shoes, through the thoughtfulness of the Telluride Power Pow-er company, and was asked to clog. Mr. Nichols gave hjs.own interpretation, interpreta-tion, cf hot-stepping-'to' - perfection, but each attempted move of Mr. Outzen Out-zen resulted in his gracing the floor of the hall in a recumbent position. During the evening, George Jefferson related the effort that the elub was making in 'securing an oiled road to Beaver and asked for donations of five hundred dollars with which to start the work, and both Mr. Nichols Nich-ols and Mr. Outzen . came forward with considerable alacrity. The nartv was voted bv all cres- ent. as being decidedly the best in the club's history and an event that future committee may well take as a model in preparing similar affairs. The committee responsible for the excellent entertainment consisted of Geo. Jefferson, Sam Cline and Joe Kinney. |
