Show ORE SHOWS HIGH COPPER CONTENT A forty-five ton carload of ore shipped last month from the Apex mine to the American Smelting and Refining company at Garfield, went 33.31 per cent copper, according to returns received by Sherman Hardy, superintendent of operations. W. H. Hendrickson of Milford, general gen-eral manager of the company operating operat-ing the Apex, was in St. George from Friday to Sunday on business connected con-nected with the mine. Copper, which is now quoted at around 5 cents, is expected to take a jump, according to Mr. Hendrickson, as the result of the present agitation for a tariff on this metal. Washington County News. o |
