Show FORMER MILFORD MAN DIES IN CALIENTE Word was received here by friends of the death of Jack Ahern at his home in Caliente Monday. Mr. Ahern was a resident of Milford for many years, having been employed as boiler-maker in the railroad shops here until transferred to .Caliente, New, a little over a year ago. Death was caused by apdplexy. Mr. Ahern was born April 19, 1878 in Arizona, and west to Salt Lake about 25 years ago. , He lived there until 1929, when he was transferred to Lynndyl by the Salt Lake & Los Angeles railroad, and later to Milford, Mil-ford, and then to Caliente. He was employed in the shops. Mr. Ahem was an officer in the Utah national guard about 20 years ago. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Emma C. Ahern, of Salt Lake; his widow, Mrs. Blanche Hannibal Ahern of Caliente; one son, John H. Ahern of Salt Lake; two daughters, Miss Marion Ahern of Caliente and Mrs. Viola Chamberlain of Ogden; three brothers and one sister, George P. Ahern of Tooele, N. C. Ahern and Mrs. Beatrice Phillips" of Salt Lake and Daniel J. Ahern of Venice, Calif. Three grandchildren also survive. His body was taken, to Salt Lake for funeral services, to be conducted Wednesday at 1:30 p. m. in the Lar-kin Lar-kin mortuary, with burial in the City cemetery. |
