Files of the -Milford News of I "C.'ig Fifteen years ago this week A meeting was cailed by Precinct Chairman George Jefferson to meet in the Opera House tc nominate five candidates for membership to the Town Board. Milford residents gave the Fort Douglas artillerymen a warm greeting greet-ing on Thursday. The boys were very appreciative of the recognition. They were en route to the California training train-ing camp Linda Vista. Miss Gertrude P. Holmes secretary of the Beaver County Irrigation Company, tendered her resignation to the board of directors on Tuesday. Ed H. Street, cashier of the Milford Mil-ford State Bank, has notified the directors di-rectors of the institution that he .will resign, to take effect on December 1. Mr. Street has purchased a half interest in the Morgan cattle ranch in Tooele cdun'ty, and will remove to that county. A, mass meeting has been called for Monday evening, which will be held in the Opera House for the purpose pur-pose of organizing a permanent chapter " of the American Red Cross. Dr. H .C. Hunter is chairman. The Faculty basketball team defeated de-feated the students of the Milford high school on Tuesday evening by the score of 40 to 39.
