Show SOCIETY Dinner Guests A. D. McAuley of Frisco, and son, Wallace of Salt Lake, were dinner guests last Thursday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Osborn. Visitors Complimented Complimentary to Mr. and Mrs. Walter Slaughter, of Twin Falls, Idaho, Mir. and Mrs. J. P. James entertained en-tertained at dinner at their mine home last week. Those present were Miss Ethel Slaughter and Miss Grace Somers, of Twin Falls, Miss Selma I Slaughter of Salt Lake, Mrs. L. N. Slaughter, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Grif-fiths,Inez Grif-fiths,Inez Griffiths, Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Osborn, and Angus Buchanan. Club Meets With Mrs. Clav v The Pierian Club met at the home of Mrs. L. G. Clay, July 9, with President Presi-dent Lila Weber, presiding. The goy eminent lesson chapter on "The De- partment of Agriculture," by Freder-I Freder-I ic J. Haskins, was given by Mrs. R. i B. Young. A picnic lunch was discussed dis-cussed and July 22nd was the day set for the picnic. The next meeting was announced to be held at the home of Mrs. Bardsley, on July 23. Picnic at Wild Bill Mine A group of Milford young people I enjoyed a picnic chicken supper at the Wild Bill mine last Friday evening. Fourth of July firecrackers made the occasion a lively one. The following were present: Elma Hickman, Han-norah Han-norah Hutchins, Verna, Elma, and Helen Bird, Lola Morris, Aleen Grimshaw, Grim-shaw, Olive Johnson, Eva Coleman, Stanley Voorhees, Tom Schow, Robert Rob-ert Tomsick, Jack Patterson, Bill Cochrane, Leroy Carlson, Dern Osborn, Os-born, Max Root, Glenn Stonehocker. and Mr. and Mrs. Lavon Bird. Mrs. Copeland Is Hostess Mrs. Carlos Copeland entertained her bridge club and invited guests Saturday, June 30th. The afternoon was spent 'in playing bridge. Mrs. Rue Neilson received the prize for; points, Mrs. J. M. Williams, for hon-1 I ors, and the consolation prize wcntj to Mrs. S. C. Ruschmeier. A dainty lunch was served to the following:! Sterling, Mrs. Eden and Mrs. Ruschmeier. Birthday Celebrated The No-Hostess Club entertained at a birthday club in honor of the birthday anniversarys of Mrs. Wm. Broyles, and Mrs. Spencer Schow, on Tuesday evening at the home of Mrs. Broyles. The evening was spent in playing bridge, prizes being won by Mrs. Frank Farmer for points, and Mrs. Jack Thiessen for honors. Those who were present were Mesdames Frank Farmer, Jack Thiessen, J. R. Murdock, Wm. Broyles, Alvin Baker, Rue Neilson, Spencer Schow, and Kimmel Coon. Mrs. Sloan Entertains Mrs. C. C. Sloan entertained with a bridge party Wednesday evening. The prizes were: high score, Ethel Stanley; consolation, Louise Campbell. Camp-bell. A dainty lunch was served to Mrs. F. B. Robinson, daughters Lucille and Kendall Franke, Mrs. Geo. Stanley, daughter Ethel, and Mrs. Walter Weber, of South Milford, Mrs. Eden of Los Angeles, Mrs. Wm. Broyles, Mrs. Chas E. Moore, Mrs Jack Williams, Mrs. M. P Lewis, and Mrs. Melvin Stanley. Bridge Party at Mrs. Geo. Stanley's Mrs. George Stanley entertained her club with a bridge party this week. Refreshments were served; guests were Mrs. F. B. Robinson, Miss Kendall Franke and Miss Lucille Franke, Mrs. Gospill and daughter, Gladys, Mrs. Walter Weber, Mrs. Harvey Hedges, Mrs. Antone Johnston, John-ston, Mrs. Melvin Stanley, Mrs. J. M. Williams, and Mrs. C. C. Sloan. Silver Wedding Mr. and Mrs. Chas. E. Moore were hosts at their home this week in ar, observance of their 25th wedding anniversary. an-niversary.
