Show THE WALTERS STOCK CO. The Walter3 Stock Co. gave Delta show fans a treat here last Thursday night, showing two plays, "A Cure for Husbands", and "The Brains of the Family." The first, a one-ace playlet, bordered bord-ered more or less on the serious, and was very well presented. To our mind it brought out the moral that a woman is like an automobile It Is the pretty coat of paint and classy body lines that first catch the eye, but it Is the power under the hood that counts in the long run. The second play, consisting of three acts, was a laugh from start to finish. A wealthy father has a beautful daughter who is wooed by a rich suitor, suit-or, but who has lost her heart to her father's secretary, a most worthy young man. The father Is planning on a wedding with the rich suitor, but still has time to plan for the fu-ure fu-ure happiness of his secretary, and his sweetheart, all unknowing that it is his own daughter he Is giving away. The play Itself is clever, and the handling by the cast Is especially good. Mr. Walters has been bringing his stock company through here tor several years, and always offers good clean entertainment. Luke Cosprave, with his "Crew of the Nancy Lee", Is always a favorite, and the pleasing work of Miss Orglll, Miss Ewing and Mr. Worsley has won them a following. follow-ing. For Wednesday night, April 12th, this company will present "The Tie that Binds." Mr. Wm. Killpack Is spending a few days in Salt Lake City on business. |
