John Mills, eighty years young spry, keen, and alert, visited Scipio, Deseret, and Delta this week; Mr. Mills used to be a resident of Deseret Deser-et forty years ago, when Webb built the dam first; he moved away and has not been in this region for forty years. He is visiting John Dewsnup. , Mr. Mills tells us he sees a wonderful change, and that if he were a youngster young-ster again he would locate at Delta to make his wad. He has been away from home in Salt Lake for five weeks, "pretty good for a youngster" he says. The Salt Lake Union Stock Yard:- 1 finds that October was one of the heaviest months they have ever ex-1 ' perienced in the live stock business; ' they handled (1 3 , 0 r, 3 .cattle, 5,105 1 hogs and 122,789 shoep. They had 1 the heaviest run of prime beef cat- 1 tie, the bulk of which was for the California trade; they sold 160 cars ' of stuff locally. The live stock in- ! dustry is again beginning to engage attention of money mailing farmers who will prosper by going into it 1 extensively this year. - Miss Ethel Maxtield is visiting in ; Delta; she has been attending the , L.
