Show - SUTHERLAND EWS. - : Mr. and Mrs. Christensen of Freedom Free-dom are here visiting Mr. and Mrs. Samuel E. Gee. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Sanford are visiting at the Sanford home. Mrs. Evan Evans underwent an operation at the Smith Hospital last week. We all wish for her speedy recovery. The Sutherland Relief Sewing Club was organized with Mrs. Millie Roberts Rob-erts as chairman and Mrs. R. E. Wolfe as vice chairman, with Mrs. Reid, Mrs. Walker, and Mrs. Ottley as board members. The Triple S Association will meet with Mrs. Ottley and Enid Friday, Sep. 12th at 5:00 p. m.; all members mem-bers are invited to be present. The Sutherland Relief Society will hold a social with Mrs. Maud Martin, Thursday p. m., Sep. 11th. All members are invited to be present. pres-ent. Miss Enid Ottley has returned home after a two month's visit with her aunt, Mrs. T. C. Davis at Silver Lake. The Sutherland schools opened Monday with four teachers and more pupils than the seating capacity can acsomodate. We hope that Dewey will be better bet-ter natured now that school has begun be-gun again. Mr. and Mrs. Lester C. Neely of Hinckley went to Cedar City to attend at-tend the rodeo. C. D. Mc Neely has returned from the Democratic Convention In New York City, reporting a 'wonderful trip. Mrs. Elliott Anderson entertained at dinner on Sunday. The guests weer Mr. and Mrs. Frank nderson,, Mrs. Bringhurst and children, Miss Whitehead, and the Misss Edith and and Ester Johnson. Mrs. Bringhurst and children and Miss Whitehead left Wednesday for their home In Salt Lake City. |
