Show DELTA YOUTH DRAGGED TO DEATH BY HORSE Boy Held by Halter Hope Around His Neck and Drugged to Death "David Tanner Workman, the 15-year 15-year old son of David Workman, who had just come to this community in the spring from Lovell, Wyoming, met his death in an unfortunate accident ac-cident on September 3rd, by being dragged from the end of a halter rope which he had fastened around his own neck. The boy started from home to gather up some cows, riding a horse which had on merely a halter be-I be-I sides the saddle. Unfortunately the lad tied the rope around his own neck, not fuuly realizing the extreme danger in so doing. After he had headed the cows, he sat with one leg over the horn talking to some companions, and remarked, "Well, I guess I'd better take this rope oft before I get killed," and lifted up his arm to untie the Tope. That act frightened the horse, which Jumped sideways and then lunged ahead to run, which unseated the boy, who fell to the earth, and the running horse dragged him to death, The horse ran a mile before it was stopped. stop-ped.
