Show DEFENSE DAY On Friday, September the 12th will be held the Governmental called Defense Day, a day set aside for every ev-ery able bodied man between 18 and 4 5 to register, and to participate in the program held that day. This day's observance Is Nation Wide. At Delta there will be a parade at 1:30 In the afternoon, forming on Fourth West Street, at the corner cor-ner of the Delta Lumber and Hardware Hard-ware Company's office, and march east along Clark Street. First will come the band and the American Legion and all ex-service men; next the Red Cross, then the Council of the Boy Scouts, and then the Boy Scouts of America, the town officials, offic-ials, and lastly the citizens themselves. them-selves.
