Show FUNERAL SERVICES Miss Josie Blake, daughter of Joseph Jos-eph W. Blake and Harriett E. Blake, was born at Hinckley, Feb. 2, 1907. She died July 19, 1924 at the L. D. S. Hospital in Salt Lake City, following fol-lowing an operation for appendicitis. appendici-tis. Funeral services were held at Hinckley. Bishop Charles A. Strat-ton Strat-ton in charge. Relatives and friends from all directions gathered to offer comfort and consolation to the grieving parents. The tribute of beautiful flowers fairly covered the casket and pulpit, so profuse were they. The opening hymn was "Oh, My father," and prayer by Joseph M. Wright of the Ward Bishopric. Song of "Sister, thou wast mild and lovely." love-ly." The speakers were Floyd G. Eyre, Chas. R. Woodbury, Willis E. Robinson, of the Stake Presidency, and Bishop Charles A. Stratton. Two well rendered selections by Mrs. i Geneva Bi.-hop and Mrs. Clara Stewart Stew-art and duet by Miss Celestial Dut-ion Dut-ion and Zeela Moody. Benediction by Jacob H. Langston. The dedicatory dedi-catory prayer at the grave was given giv-en by Bishop Stratton. A splendid clean life has passed on to the eternal and the remains consigned to Mother Earth. Miss Gwen Allen returned Trom Wayne County to go to the Delta Hi this winter.
