Under the recent agreement between the factions favoring and opposing the treaty, a coalition panel of candidates was presented to the people, apportioning appor-tioning representation In th parliament parlia-ment at approximately the same ratio as shown lh past tests 'of strength In tlie Dall Firearm. A number of Independents, however, entered the field in an attempt to overturn ov-erturn the panel on the treaty Issue, and it was on this phase of the struggle strug-gle that interest mainly centered as the poling began. Estimates were that at least 15 of the Independents would be sucessful. Publication of tlie terms of the draft of the Irish constitution on which the new parliament must pass, was not expected ex-pected to Influence the vote. The comment com-ment of the Dublin morning newspaper newspa-per Friday is mostly favorable to the constitution. Let the people prove now by the fearless conscientious and prudent exercise of their franchise that they are worthy repositories of that supreme power."
