Show NOTES OF THE DELTAJGH SCHOOL Your pep! Your pep! You've got it, now keep it, doggone it, dont lose it. Your pep. Last Thursday night the D. H. C student body, teachers and all rallied the town over. Every one showed their enthusiasm- over the game with Hinckley, by exercising exer-cising their lungs in good yells for the "grand old team." To make things more exciting, the girls wore their nightgowns, pjamas and underskirts under-skirts while the boys dressed . "seed pitcher style." Never mind, if we did lose the game last Friday, our pep didn't go withh it. We are even more enthused enthus-ed over the coming game with Hinckley, Hinck-ley, when the tables will be turned. We called for a touchdown and got it. "Curley" Roberts heard the call and came to our rescue with the first, last and only touchdown in that game. Although Hinckley made two touchdowns, they had to work for them. To end the day right, there was a party. The sophomores entertained entertain-ed the Juniors and Seniors at a masquerade hall sure, the devil .vas there too. He ted us tluougli the "long and bumpy hall," where we waded first through leaves and then through water. From there we entered the ball room which was decorated in black and orange. Here ..e played games, led by Virginia niiray. After a number of peppy, panics and dancing refreshments j ore served. The holes in the dough j nuts and the cider were very delic ious and gave us the right spirit to dance the last few dances. But tho party could not end without with-out a little hard luck. The slighted class, the Freshies, were very disappointed dis-appointed when they found irr.it tuc refreshments were well guarded, so they did the next best think. They thought it was too dark outside so turned on all the auto lights and also drained the gas tanks. Dont worry, Eret'.hies. You wont be so greon ilex! year. The first program was given in the now auditorium Monday November No-vember 2nd, by the Juniors. Xo time was lost in showing the students what the Juniors could do. They were very fortunate in getting Mr. Maxfield as their speaker. Last, but not least, the Juniors introduced their class song, which plainly show; ed the spirit ot the class. On to Euroka Come on, all you boosters of the football team. Bring your pep with i you. Fords do your darndest, and we will go to Eureka, hail, rain or shine and win the game, Friday, November 6th. |
