Show Beet Sugar Factory for Delta New York Capitalists Looking for Locations for Factories A meeting was held Wednesday Wednes-day night at the Ward Hall in Delta at the; call of the Delta Commercial Club, to listen to certain gentlemen interested in this section for a sugar factory, to take care of the 191G crop. A committee consisting of Messrs. Copening, Steele and Law was appointed to show the visitors over the conntry and a call made for a big mass meeting for all ths surrounding country, to be held in the Ward Hall at Delta, at 2, p. m., Saturday June 5th. Farmers should avail themselves them-selves of this opportunity and be there in force. Mrs. Day, of Fairview, Utah, is here visiting her daughter, Mrs. Eli Rawlinson. Miss Geigley, who has land in Delta and Abraham, is here looking look-ing after her interests. Charles A. Conkling, the Des-eret Des-eret Dentist has been very busy the past two months but never too busy to attend to your wants in that line. J. 0. Wilkins, wife and family fam-ily have gone to Washington Co. for, a visit and to bring their furniture fur-niture from their former home. They drove through. Allison and Moffitts, our enterprising enter-prising and painstaking carpenters, carpen-ters, have just finished a neat, commodious five-room cottage for E. D. Hashimoto, the big sugar beet raiser, on the old Smith ranch west of Delta. D. W. Livingston, of the firm of Spalding-Livingston of Salt Lake, was in the city the last of last week and the first of this attending at-tending to business matters. Mr. Livingston is one of the live wires wir-es who is helping to push this country ahead and give it its proper pro-per place in the ranks of the great farming communities of the we9t, which is well at the top. |
