Show ' MEADOW. t Last Monday there waB a sudden change In the weather, from the beautiful beau-tiful spring to that of a northern blizzard, bliz-zard, lasting most of the day. An eleven-pound baby boy came to tne home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Bushnell. All doing nicely. Mr. Joseph Edwards, our reprenenta-Ijv reprenenta-Ijv at the De irt Gymnasium, arrived list MCy. ; Jo ?:.-Halt ?:.-Halt Lake Is all right, And I had a good time; Still, I am glad to get back To that girl of mine. Washington's birthday was celebrated celebrat-ed in the primary department of our school, under the supervision of their teacher, Mis Edith I-ee, with an appropriate ap-propriate program, which was as follow: fol-low: Song, "America" by the school. ' j Recitation, "Where Honor Is Due," by Viola Beckstrand. Song, "I Know a Brave, Hrave General," Gen-eral," by Thlrza I,ee. Concert recitation, by beginners. Song,, "Two Little Hoys," by Tru- man Swallow and Glen Ames. , Recitation, "George Washington," by Ella Stewart. , Song, "Jolly Hoy," by the school. "Development of the American Flag" by second grade girls. , "Boston Tea Party," by little boys, , represented as Indians. Flag drill, by second grade students. Song, "Soldier Hoy," by the school. f Quite a number of parents and young people as visitor very much appre- t elated and enjoyed the parts taken by j the little folks. Then they, together with all the school, met In Principal j Beckstrand roofn to listen to a well-arranged well-arranged debate. Question was, "Resolved, "Re-solved, That George Washington was a greater man than Abraham Lincoln." The affirmative was debated by Clyde Fisher and Ordell Gull; the negative, by Melba Stott and Howard Bennett. Brunson was struck with a fast ball, a broken thumb being the result. 0 The heaviest storm for several years , came last Friday morning with a heavy , gale from the north, and was contln- -uou for over 7 hours, resulting In about twenty four Inches deep of well- , parked snow.
