The Delta public will have another treat Saturday evening when the Oak City Dramatic Club will give the four-act four-act drama, "A Noble Outcast." It has been given several times at other places and was well received and should draw a crowded house at Delta where amateur theatricals are well patronized. Six or seven thousand dollars has recently been distributed by the Melville Mel-ville Irrigation and the Delta Land & Water companies, which was much appreciated. The sale of delinquent stock by the Melville Company has been continued contin-ued till March 20. IN AND AROUND DELTA Te Week's News from the Coining Metropolis There averaged one emigrant car each day last week for Delia. Dr. W. W. Stockham returned last Sunday morning from 1'loche, Nev., where he has been on business connected con-nected with his holdings In that place. He reports Ploche on the boom. The Maker Lumber Co. received another an-other car of lumber Tuesday. They expect ex-pect soon to be able to furnish you anything In lumber that you may want. Work Is being rushed as fast as possible pos-sible on the concrete headgates for the south tract of the Delta L. & W. Co. Messrs. Moody and Williamson of the I'tnli Heal Estate and Live Stock Co., are In Salt Lake City this week on business connected with their firm. Mr. Lyon, our new barber, Is now comfortably located In his new shop on First North and Third West. We are all glad to have him with us, as he (ills a long felt want In our busy little town. Tho work on Dr. Stockham' new drug store Is progressing very nicely. It la being built of hollow fire clay building blocks. This Is their first trial In this part of the country. They appear to be all right and make a good wall. People are watching them very close, for If they give satisfaction, a good many of them will be used here, at they are cheap, economical and fireproof. fire-proof. A. P. Friday evening, March 1, Delta will be treated to a musical recital by several sev-eral of Mrs. C. A. Uroaddus' pupils. The program is quite varied and will be found very Interesting to all music lovers. The first part will consist of piano solo and duet and vocal solos, the music being explained by Mrs. "Broaddu. The second part will contain con-tain five number of dance music played as piano duets. To this music the audience will have the privilege of dancing. The pupils taking part In the recital are Cora and Geneva Koblnaon , Myrtle Langston, Afton Hinckley, Norma Moody, Norma Dam-ron Dam-ron and Vera Day. The editor has beard these young ladles play and they certainly do well for beginners. Come out and hear them, and also Mrs. Broaddus' explanation of some celebrated cele-brated music for there la something more In music than melody. SImklns, In Delta, and found two of hi children suffering with diphtheria. The prompt administration adminis-tration of anti toxin resulted In a speedy recovery of the little girl; but the little boy had been sick for two weeks and was already In the clutches of the deadly paralysis of tongue, heart and the organs of breathing, which' l one of the most dreaded concqueuce of the poison which diphtheria throws into the blood unless It I checked by antitoxin, given within the Drst few day of the disease.
