Show County Demonstrator Welch has just returned from Salt Lake. While there he attended the agricultural ag-ricultural meetings held for three days in succession. The county demonstrators were there to discuss dis-cuss matters of interest to the farmers. Prof. Frank B. Stevens Stev-ens explained to them the new Farm Loan Act. Mr. Welch reports re-ports that meetings will be called call-ed for all those that are interested interest-ed and desirous of learning more about the Farm Loan Act, in the near future. Either Dr. George Thomas or Prof. Frank B. Stevens Stev-ens will be in attendance to give this talk. The general public will be invited. The woman's exhibit of the Millard county fair did credit to the county. Hinckley and Deseret Des-eret showed up proudly in the exhibits. A goodly sprinkling of Hinckley Hinck-ley inhabitants wandered over the State Fair grounds and listened lis-tened attentively to conference admonitions. It is hoped that they brought home with them many new ideas. It all helps. The mother and aunt of Mrs. J. P. Welch, who spent a pleasant pleas-ant period in the Hinckley environment en-vironment returned on Wednesday Wednes-day last. The laidies hail from Pan gu itch. The H. E. A. of Hinckley holds its annual business meeting Friday, October 13th. At this time a plan for future civic activity ac-tivity will be discussed. A full attendance of ladies is desired. Hinckley Happenings. Yes, Holden, Hinckley too has caught the matrimony spirit. There have been three marriages here within the past month: Eugene Hilton and Miss Savage, Spencer Wright and Norma Dam-ron Dam-ron and George Beal and Bly Moody. We certainly wish to congratulate these young couples, and wish them success and happiness hap-piness in their new enterprise. The work on the drain is progressing pro-gressing very nicely. Tile is being be-ing laid every day possible. They intend to make time before snow flies and Winter sets in in dead earnest. |
