This year everything is being done by way of building business organizations, supervision compatible com-patible with available finances, to place the schools of the county on a superior basis, equal to the best in the state, where they 1 will result in doing the most good to our county in helping to pro-1 pro-1 vide for its multifarious needs, : to give it the future it is destined des-tined to have. , There is being erected at Garrison, Gar-rison, Mecham's Ranch, Burbank and Gandy suitable school houses at a cost of $1000. each and at Fillmore a county high school building at a cost of $50,000.00, at Delta a grade school building at a cost of $28,009.00, at Sutherland Suther-land and Sugarville additional t buildings at a cost of $1000. and j, $500. respectively. At Leam- ington a heating plant at a cost of $2000.00, and repairs made at schools at Fillmore, Meadow, Malone, Abraham, Kanosh, Hold-en, Hold-en, Scipio, Lynndyl, Hatton, 1 Central, Rock and Hinckley, at a 1 cost of $3000. There has been provided also, an extra teacher in each of the schools at Leamington, Suther- land, Hinckley, Sugarville, Mead-1 Mead-1 ow, Scipio and Fillmore to take 1 care of the enrollment of these 1 schools. So when we figure : tnat approximately $100,000.00 1 has or will be spent in one year 3 and a half under consolidation 1 by way of building school houses in this county, made possible by i floating 20-year 5 per cent bonds. the splendid services of an edu-3 edu-3 cational expert in supervising the 3 work of the schools in adapting 3 them to the needs of the county, 5 the saving made in buying school supplies and fuel in bulk, the ! economy practiced in the distrib-5 distrib-5 ution and use of school material , and apparatus, the business atten-t atten-t tion given to the handling of the i scho(jl nds, the rapid improve-r improve-r ment in the smaller schools and the larger school established on t as good, and in some cases, better bet-ter condition than ever before with considerable decreases in the tax levy made for school purposes, pur-poses, consolidation cannot help but commend itself to the school patrons and tax payers of this 1 county as being appreciably better bet-ter for the county schools than was the old system.
