Show I Utah Problems Included In Projects Problems of importance to Utah mining and smelting industries are being heing included in the years year's fellowship fellowship fellowship fellow fellow- ship projects of the Utah engineering engineer engineer- ing experiment station according to F. F S. S acting director of the station Problems affecting the use of Utah coals and the production of beryllium and manganese were among the years year's projects listed by Mr Monday He said that Utah has large potential supplies of both of these metals but that the prohibitive cost of present methods of production prevented their use Beryllium he stated is only two thirds as heavy as aluminum aluminum aluminum alum alum- making it desirable as a structural material Manganese is used in steel and other alloys At present about 90 per cent of the manganese used in the country is imported Fellows announced as as working on the station projects are Henry Gisler Kenneth McEwen Wallace B.
