Show Mr. and Mr. C. H. Aller are visiting in Salt Lake this week. R. H. Becknell will leave Friday Fri-day to spend Christmas with his family in Salt Lake. J. P. Sprunt and T. B. Stearns and son, Burt returned Tuesday evening to Salt Lake. Rile Johnson is building a modern cement bungalow on his place in the eastern part of town. Ed Erickson of Brigham City, has been here tne past week, the guest of Miss Millie Workman. Miss Helene Davis of Sutherland Suther-land left Wednesday evening for Los Angeles where she will spend the holidays. Mary A. Wilkins left Saturday for Salt Lake to spend Christmas Christ-mas holidays with her daughter, Mrs. R. C. Graham. J. Avery Bishop went up to Salt Lake Tuesday evening to take in the nstitute as a member of the school trustees. Mrs. Gertrude Thomas, mother of Mrs. C. 0. Davis came down from Ogden last Sunday for a visit with her daughter and family. Pearl and Vernon Tozer are home from Mt. Pleasant, where they are attending school, to spend the Christmas holidays with home folks. A. B. Ward left yesterday for Los Angeles where he will visit for two or three weeks with his mother who is ill. She is now in her eighty-fifth year. Mrs. Geo. Dobson and children have gone to Richfield where they will spend the holidays with relatives. Geo. will join them the last of the week. Ed. Bishop has the material on the ground and is preparing to erect himself a nice four-roomed brick bungalow just south of Geo. Dobsons residence. Mr. and Mrs. Orson Sprages left the last of last week for Bunkerville, Nevada, to attend the funeral of Mr. Sprages' brother who was killed in a mine there. Tuesday night's train to Salt Lake was loaded down with Millard Mil-lard county school teachers going to the institute and others going to Salt Lake and other places to spend the holidays. ' Elmo and, Leonard Sprowl left Wednesday' morning for Washington, Wash-ington, Utah, to spend the Christmas vacation. They have been attending school at the Millard Academy. STRAYED: Last Sunday, a 7-months-old blue roan bull calf, no marks visable. Any one knowing its whereabouts, please notify Henry Freese, Sutherland, and receive reward. d21-2S The school entertainment given by the pupils Tuesday night entitled "Old School Days" was pronounced excellent by those who witnessed it and was also a financial success to the extent of over $15. Albert Hales and son were in town Wednesday from their home in Deseret, arranging with the Chronicle for the publication of a legal notice. Mr. Hales subscrihed for the Chronicle and will hereafter keep posted on the doings in the valley. W. G. Emmett has gone to Santa Ana, Cali., to spend the holidays and will be forwarded a bunch of Chronicles of this week's issue and spread the good news that we are to have a big new sugar factory for the 1917 campaign. The Primary Association is arranging ar-ranging to give a children's dance at the Delta Opera House, at 3 o'clock, p. m., Christmas day. Good music will be furnished fur-nished and a fee of five cents will be charged to defray the expense ex-pense of the orchestra. |
