Mrs. A. M. McPherson received the sad news Wednesday evening of the death of her father who's home is in Weiser, Idaho. She lert this morning for Weiser to be present at the funeral. The sympathy of the community is extended to her in her sorrow. Ben Douglas spent Christmas with his sister in Nephi. Born, to Mr. and Mrs. Ren Christensen Dec. 21st, twins. H. F. Aller went to Salt Lake Saturday to spend Christmas with his family. Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Schlappy are visiting in Provo with Mrs. Schlappy 's sister. S. W. Eccles was attending to busines matters in Salt Lake the last of last week. M. M. Steele, Jr., went to Salt Lake Monday night for a few days hilarity. Mrs. Barger and son of the North Tract went to Southern Cali. Monday. . H. B. Prout- of the Delta Land & Water Co., spent Christmas Christ-mas with homefolks in Salt Lake. Mrs. F. L. Copening and family fam-ily are here from Salt Lake, spending the Holidays with friends. Mrs. Roy Hill of Fayette, Ut, is here visiting with her mother, Mrs. Alice Jones, who has been very sick. Lamond Wilkins left Friday for Washington where he will spend the holidays with relatives and friends. j Miss Arvilla Lewis entertained j at a Christmas dinner in honor J of the Misses Mary and Ellen I Copening who are here spending i Christmas Holidays with her. j Reports come to us that Mrs. j Cooper of the Delta hotel served the best Christmas dinner ever to her guests. Some of them' saying it was really more than they could stand and it pretty nearly got the best of them. ' But if any one knows how to tempt their boarders' appetites, it j is Mrs. Cooper. J. H. Manderfield Gen'l Manager Man-ager of. the Salt Lake Union Stock Yards says that he is in the market for a good big bunch of good grade brood sows due to that description, or know where furrow in March or later.
