C and the University of Utah athletic councils have issued the following open letter to potential patrons Patrons attending college football football foot foot- ball games ordinarily represent the I finest element of the community and football spectators have established established established a high standard of crowd behavior and sportsmanship Occasionally however persons under the influence of liquor at attend attend attend at- at tend the games and a few others drink liquor to excess during the the game Drunkenness in the stands is an affront to all decent people it often often often oft oft- en leads to serious disorder and it violates the entire atmosphere and spirit of college sports The cooperation of all patrons in eliminating this abuse during the Thanksgiving day game is earnestly earnestly earnestly ear ear- nestly requested And notice is Ii hereby given that precautions have been taken to prohibit entrance of those under the influence of liquor and to deal vigorously with drunkenness drunkenness drunkenness drunk drunk- enness occurring in the stands
