Show Dr. Popenoe Talks To 1300 People In Lecture Series The people of West Millard showed a definite interest in worth while activity when they i crowded the D. H. S. auditorium, Tuesday evening to hear the noted i lecturer . and psychologist, Dr. Po-I Po-I penoe. For the first session the students of Hinckley and Delta I High Schools filled the building to ' an overflow with nearly 500 people there. The subject was "Looking Towards Marriage". At the 2:30 j p.m. meeting there were about 250 I in a attendance, the subject was ' "The Problems of Youth." For the evening meeting the buses brought parents from t n e surrounding j towns. There was another crowd of over 500 people. Dr. Popenoe spoke on the subject of "A Changing Chang-ing Family in a Changing World." For the three lectures he spoke to over 1300 people. A large amount of the success of these meetings were due to the Relief Society and the Mutual organizations, or-ganizations, and the many clubs of the community who advertized and supported this event. |
